Our venue, the Executive Airport Hotel in Richmond, British Columbia, is easily accessible by all major modes of transportation.

If you will be crossing the border to come to Vanhoover Pony Expo please ensure that you have the appropriate travel documents, authorizations, and/or visas required to enter Canada. Information regarding entering Canada is available from the Canada Border Services Agency

Arriving by Car

From Bellingham, Seattle, and points south

  1. Take I-5 north to the Canadian border.
  2. Cross the Canada-USA border at the Peace Arch Crossing (border crossing open 24/7).
  3. I-5 becomes BC Highway #99 at the border.
  4. Continue north on Highway #99, through George Massey Tunnel, to Westminster Highway exit (Exit 36).
  5. Travel west on Westminster Highway.
  6. Venue will be on your right (two blocks past No. 3 Road).

From Langley, Abbotsford, and points east

  1. Take Highway #1 west to Highway #17 junction (Exit 53)
  2. Take Highway #17 west to Highway #91 Connector.
  3. Left on Highway #91 Connector to Alex Fraser Bridge.
  4. Northbound over Alex Fraser Bridge and stay on Highway #91 towards Richmond.
  5. Highway #91 becomes Alderbridge Way.
  6. Continue on Alderbridge Way past No. 3 Road.
  7. Stay on Alderbridge Way as it turns south.
  8. Turn right on Westminster Highway.
  9. Venue will immediately be on your right.

From Horseshoe Bay, Squamish, and points north

  1. Take Highway #99 south over Lions Gate Bridge and into downtown Vancouver.
  2. Turn right on Howe Street.
  3. Go over the Granville Street Bridge and stay on Granville Street to 70th Ave.
  4. Turn left on 70th Ave.
  5. Turn right on Oak Street and go over the Oak Street Bridge.
  6. Take No. 4 Road exit (Exit 39B).
  7. South on No. 4 Road to Westminster Highway.
  8. Turn right on Westminster Highway.
  9. Venue will be on your right (two blocks past No. 3 Road).

From Vancouver Island/Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

  1. From ferry, follow Highway #17 west to Highway #99 north (Exit 13).
  2. Take Highway #99 north, through George Massey Tunnel, to Westminster Highway exit (Exit 36).
  3. Travel west on Westminster Highway.
  4. Venue will be on your right (two blocks after No. 3 Road).

Arriving by Public Transit

The closest SkyTrain station to Vanhoover Pony Expo is Richmond-Brighouse station on the Canada Line. From Richmond-Brighouse you can either walk ~15 minutes to the Executive Airport Hotel, or take the 401 ONE ROAD to the venue.

If walking: Exit Richmond-Brighouse station and turn right (north), walk half a block, then turn left (west) on Westminster Highway. The Executive Airport Hotel will be two blocks west at the intersection of Westminster Highway and Alderbridge Way.

If taking the bus: Wait at Bay 2 at Richmond-Brighouse station. Board the 401 ONE ROAD and travel three stops to the Alderbridge Way stop. The bus stop is immediately in front of our venue. The 401 runs roughly every 15-30 minutes during the day.

Arriving by Plane

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the closest major airport to Vanhoover Pony Expo. It is served by most major airlines with direct flights available from many cities in North America and beyond.

Our venue, the Executive Airport Hotel, provides a complementary shuttle from the airport for hotel guests between 5am and 11pm daily. Arriving domestically, follow signs to Level 1 for courtesy shuttle pickup at the green canopy outside. Arriving internationally, follow signs to Level 2 for courtesy shuttle pickup at the green canopy outside.

Arriving after shuttle hours, you have two choices:

The first after-hours option is to take a taxi from the airport to the Executive Hotel. This will be a $20 CAD flat-rate fare (does not include gratuity).

For the second after-hours option, if departing the airport no later than 12:56am (the last train!), you can take the Canada Line SkyTrain most of the way to our venue. The cost will be $7.95 CAD per person and will require one transfer and a ~15 minute walk. From YVR-Airport station, take the Canada Line to Bridgeport station. At Bridgeport station, exit the train and wait for a southbound train to Richmond-Brighouse station on the opposite platform. Take the southbound train to Richmond-Brighouse station. Exit Richmond-Brighouse station, turn right (north), walk half a block, then turn left (west) on Westminster Highway. The Executive Airport Hotel will be two blocks west at the intersection of Westminster Highway and Alderbridge Way.

Arriving by Train

Amtrak Cascades provides two daily trains to Vancouver, one from Seattle and one from Portland via Seattle. Trains arrive at Pacific Central Station in Vancouver in the early-afternoon and late-evening. From Pacific Central Station, you can either take a taxi to our venue (at a metered rate) or public transit. Pacific Central Station is adjacent to the Main Street-Science World SkyTrain station on the Expo Line. If taking public transit, follow the directions above.

Arriving by Bus

Bolt Bus runs passenger bus service between Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver with some intermediate stops. Buses arrive at Pacific Central Station. From Pacific Central Station, you can either take a taxi to our venue (at a metered rate) or public transit. Pacific Central Station is adjacent to the Main Street-Science World SkyTrain station on the Expo Line. If taking public transit, follow the directions above.
