We are Vanhoover Pony Expo (VPE). Our website address is: .
Our parent organization is the BC Anthropomorphic Events Association (BCAEA). The BCAEA is a registered not-for-profit in the province of British Columbia, and is the group that oversees the operation of VPE, principally, as well as VancouFur and some other events in the surrounding Vancouver area.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Contact form information is emailed to our general or website contact emails (depending on the inquiry type) and stored in the a database for a period of no longer then 90 days. They can be manually removed upon request to the website admin.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

We use Google Analytics and share information with them to help us better understand the traffic to our website. Google Analytics may share this information with other third parties they are partnered with and will retain this information for up to 26 months
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Basic information such as you IP and user agent string are sent to Google Analytics when you visit any page excluding our registration kiosks

How we protect your data
Most data from visitors without an account is sent to Google Analytics and is not stored locally. We do log basic information on this website such as your IP and user agent for website for 2 weeks for security reasons to protect our website. We retain it indefinitely if your IP is banned from the site.

In the event that our server is breached, or any data from our server is compromised, we will close the breach, mitigate any damages to the best of our abilities, and informing the affected parties in a timely fashion by email or other contact methods if required.

We have a software plugin the profiles connections to the website and may automatically reject and ban connections based on this profile. This profile usually includes past reports from your IP across the WordFence network, your geographical location, your IP, your user agent, and other factors
